Our Story
Rice Thai Eatery founded by Parima and her family with a passion for authentic flavors and a heartfelt desire to share Thai culture through food with the community of South Lake Tahoe. Born and raised in Thailand, Parima grew up in a home where food was love. She learned to cook from her mother and grandmother, whose recipes were passed down through generations — not just as instructions, but as stories and traditions. When Parima moved to the United States, she carried those memories and flavors with her. With the support of her family, she turned her passion for Thai cooking into a restaurant that felt just like home. The name “RICE” was chosen with care. In Thai culture, rice is more than food — it’s LIFE. It represents abundance, nourishment, and tradition. Nearly every Thai dish is enjoyed with rice, and every Thai household treasures it as a symbol of comfort and connection. At Rice Thai Eatery, we bring that philosophy to the table. Each dish is made with fresh ingredients, traditional recipes, and the same attention to detail you’d find in a Thai family kitchen. From flavorful bowls of authentic beef noodle soup, to creamy khao soi, to comforting Thai chicken rice and various Thai street food dishes, our menu is designed to honor the heart of Thai cooking. This is more than a restaurant. It’s a place where culture is preserved, stories are shared, and guests become part of the family. Welcome to Rice Thai Eatery — where every dish tells a story, and every guest feels at home.
